## đź“‹ About pizero-openclaw

pizero-openclaw is a voice-controlled AI assistant made for the Raspberry Pi Zero W. You press a button, speak your request, and see the answer on a small LCD screen. It uses AI services from OpenAI and OpenClaw to understand you and reply. This project includes a neat hardware board called PiSugar WhisPlay and streams the results live to the screen. You can also hear the answer spoken back with text-to-speech, if you want.

---

## đź›  How pizero-openclaw works

Here is what happens after you press its button:

- Hold the button to record your voice using the sound system ALSA.
- Release the button and your voice is sent to OpenAI to turn into text.
- That text, along with past messages, goes to OpenClaw to get a response.
- The reply appears live on the Raspberry Pi’s LCD screen.
- The device can speak the reply out loud using OpenAI’s speech tech.
- When waiting, it shows the time, date, battery level, and WiFi status.

All your conversations stay saved so the assistant remembers what you talked about.
