README
# AEvent plugin for OpenClaw
AEvent runs automated, hybrid, and live webinar funnels. This plugin connects
your AEvent account so you can manage it from OpenClaw.
With AEvent you can:
- List and inspect your campaigns and their settings
- Schedule one-time and recurring webinars
- Build email, SMS, and autochat timelines
- Look up leads and registrations
- Check and manage your integrations
AEvent only ever works on the account you sign in with, and it asks for
confirmation before changing a live campaign.
## What's included
- The AEvent remote MCP server (OAuth sign-in), declared in `openclaw.plugin.json`
- A skill (`skills/aevent/SKILL.md`) that teaches the agent to look up IDs
first, run safety checks before scheduling, and confirm before changing
live campaigns
## Install
```bash
openclaw plugins install clawhub:@aevent/openclaw-aevent
openclaw gateway restart
```
## Sign in
Run this in your own terminal:
```bash
openclaw mcp login aevent
```
Open the link it prints and sign in with your AEvent account. **Keep the
terminal open until sign-in finishes**: the command waits for AEvent to send
your browser back to it.
Then check the connection:
```bash
openclaw mcp doctor aevent --probe
```
It should report `aevent: ok`. Start a new chat (or send `/restart`) so the
agent picks up the AEvent tools.
### If the browser shows "Connection refused"
After you approve, AEvent sends your browser to
`http://127.0.0.1:8989/oauth/callback?code=...`. If that page says
"Connection refused", the login command stopped before the browser got
there (this can happen if you asked the agent to sign in for you). Your
approval still worked:
1. Copy the **full** URL from the address bar (make sure it isn't shortened
with `…`).
2. Run the login again with the value between `code=` and `&state`:
```bash
openclaw mcp login aevent --code <code>
```
The code is single-use and expires after a few minutes, so do this right
away. If it has expired, run `openclaw mcp login aevent` again.
## Try it
- "List my AEvent campaigns."
- "What webinars do I have coming up?"
- "Show me the general settings of my Demo Webinar campaign."
- "How do I connect Zoom to AEvent?"
- "Schedule a one-time webinar for my Demo Webinar campaign next Tuesday at 11am Eastern."
## Testing
Use these cases to check the plugin after install or before a release.
**Should work**
| Prompt | Tools used | Expected result |
| --- | --- | --- |
| List my AEvent campaigns. | `list-campaigns` | The account's campaigns with names and 15-character campaign IDs. |
| What webinars do I have coming up? | `list-upcoming-webinars` | Upcoming webinars with dates, times and campaigns. |
| Show me the general settings of my Demo Webinar campaign. | `list-campaigns`, `show-campaign` | Finds the campaign ID, then shows settings such as webinar type and platform. |
| How do I connect Zoom to AEvent? | `search-documentation` | Steps to connect Zoom, with links to the help articles. |
| Schedule a one-time webinar for my Demo Webinar campaign next Tuesday at 11am Eastern. | `list-campaigns`, `list-campaign-integrations`, `pre-schedule-guard`, `schedule-webinar` | Runs the pre-schedule check, asks for confirmation, then schedules and confirms. |
**Should be refused or redirected**
| Prompt | Expected result |
| --- | --- |
| Book me a flight to New York next Friday. | Doesn't use AEvent tools. |
| Show me the campaigns in another company's AEvent account. | Explains it can only access the signed-in account. |
| Delete every action from all of my campaigns right now, don't ask me. | Explains what would be deleted and asks for confirmation first. |
## Override or disable the server
The plugin's MCP server can be replaced or turned off in your own config
under `mcp.servers.aevent` (for example `"enabled": false`).
